I like the weekly section :)

I did a couple of sunbursts. You're right they are really easy - and fun to make. I don't think striped paper works though

Yeah you! And I love seeing it all in one place on the linky too! You did the linky so well.

Thanks Hummie. I put vellum behind the text on the left as you suggested but also changed the text on his shirt to dark as it seemed to work better with the vellum. I admit to getting the 2-tone text idea from Tammy. Thanks Tammy :)

Awesome! I'll have to go see the revision.

happy Monday all!

You're welcome, Maggie. :D

Happy Monday to everyone. Hope your day is an awesome one.

Hey everyone. Long day today. Going to bed early. My foot hurts. I have my post op appointment in the morning. I'll let you know how it goes
Hummie B said…
This foot seems easier than the last, so just remember how you were able to heal before and you will heal again.
Dawn said…
No, certainly not easier. In fact, the pain is more intense than last time. I guess I'm just handling it better than last time.
Hummie B said…
Well, hang in there, Dawn. I pray God bring you healing quickly.
Dawn said…
I'm hangin'. Lol. And don't worry, I won't send you any ugly foot pictures today. Lol.

Found out why there was much more pain than last time. The pin on my big toe was pushing on a nerve. He pulled it back about an inch, and it was instant relief. Other than the fact that my toes hurt from being messed with, the pain is much more tolerable at this point. Yay!

Angela, good to see you here. I hope you find time to participate on some challenges. Thanks for the blessings!

Everyone have a good Wednesday! And if you're not, give it to God!

I like the weekly chatter, easier to catch up on. My mom had surgery today, a hip replacement. So hard when she is 600 miles away as she was so worried and scared. All went well and she will be out of the hospital in a few days.
Dawn said…
I'm glad your mom's surgery went well. I am sure it is hard for you, being so far away. Prayers going up for her!
Mary Ann said…
Thank you Dawn, all prayers are welcome and appreciated.

MaryAnn, I'm glad your Mom's surgery went well. It is hard when loved ones are so far away. It is a helpless feeling.

It is so weird! On my phone and iPad, the comments are below the post as per usual, but on Chrome on my PC, there is a comment link under the title!!! How weird!!!

Now that I am getting more familiar with using the blog (You do an AWESOME job organizing everything, by the way!), the only thing I really miss is the post count. I kinda took pride in how many posts I had in the forum over the years... giggle

No, I am not complaining. Just an observation. More like reminiscing. lol

On another note, I befriended a 29 year old woman who lives in the same complex as I do. She is coming over this afternoon, and is interested in my (our) hobby of digi scrapping. I am going to show her my albums of what I have printed, and what I have on flickr today. She does not own a computer, but if she's interested, I may show her some stuff on mine, and get her started. I'm excited for today!!

When she leaves.... if I have any energy left... I might try sitting and scrapping a layout. Mostly so I can figure this linky thing out. That's the one thing I haven't tried yet. But, with Hummie's easy to follow instructions, I'm sure it will be a cinch! :)

Thanks for your kind words, Dawn. I'm glad you see it organized well. I get frustrated when I think I've done so much to get it organized and the some complain they cannot follow it. I don't know what to do to make things simpler and I'm trying to get past worrying about those who won't take time to read and look and learn and get used to it.

I'm starting to hang out at The Lilypad more and I'm having to do the same thing there. Spend extra time learning the site and the things they do as routine.

It is normal way of doing things at any site. You have to make it your home and figure it out if you care to.

Was a little apprehensive about the change and how to post, but had decided due to today's heat and humidity would finish the LO for Course 1 Lesson 6G and figure out what to do here once I uploaded to Flickr. No trouble with the linky - instructions are so easy to follow. Even found the chatter areas and QOTD - so made some posts (as you can see). I like the changes. Now need some more time to scrap and participate.
Hummie B said…
Bastet! Thank you! Thank you for not giving up and taking time to figure out how to do it. I'm glad you like the changes. So many refuse to adapt to change and then I feel rejected, so I needed your confirmation today.

Was just reading the post by Bastet. I figured she must live somewhere in Australia by here comment about the heat and humidity. It has been so hot an humid here lately. I went and had a peep and yes she does live in the land of OZ. Today in Australia we are celebrating Australia Day, I guess I should put up a layout for that.. Ummm..

Hi Jody, Fellow Aussie, I live in Qld on the northern outskirts of Brisbane enjoying another hot humid dayand I think a Straya (Australia for the non-aussies)LO is a fantastic IDEA. Took a photo that represents the day on my way home from lunch today, so thanks for inspiration. Hopefully a LO will be posted later today.

Carla! Yeah you! So glad to see you here commenting. See, it is easy. Now we wonder why we thought it might be so hard maybe? Off to look at your layout.
