Wishing you all a delightful Sunday in whatever you do!!!

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and I wish for a wonderful week for all. I'm off caffeine and allergy medication until Wednesday due to some upcoming tests so already fighting a headache. It is worth a few days of inconvenience and headaches to find out what is going on with my health so no complaints here :-)

It is a beautiful day that the Lord has made.

Hummie, I have been searching for your prayer group page. Is it disbanded?

I mustered up some courage and I replaced my laptop hard drive myself, and it worked! I am right now in the midst of installing windows updates, enduring reboot after reboot, but I'm getting closer and closer to being done! I have to take a lot of breaks to put my foot up and rest it, but I'm getting there!

After the updates are done, I will be installing Photoshop. I am hoping to be able to enjoy scrapping a layout before the end of the day. AMarie's template for February looks pretty darn awesome! I got to see my nephew last night and took a few pics, and so I'm hoping to scrap them.

It's good to be back online!

Tammy! Productive day for me, and some relaxing out in the stores, so a good day!

Mary Ann, how great that you cut caffein and no allergy meds! I hope those tests are good and your headache goes away fast. I pray that you can endure it until it goes away.

Grambie, so good to see you on the blog. The prayer group was in the forum and was removed a long time ago. We are doing everything on the blog now, so if you have a prayer request, just comment it on the most recent chatter/layout post (like this one).

Dawn, you go girl! Hard drive by yourself and back up and running! I bet you feel blessed!
Dawn said…
Hummie, yes I do feel very blessed. My mom really helped me out and loaned me the money to purchase the hard drive. I don't know how I would have done it without her.

Also, I am not sure I shared here... I have been dealing with allergies/asthma ever since I moved from Ohio to Nebraska in 2001. I have been back in Ohio since 2006, and the allergies and asthma came back with me. Until now. I asked for another allergy scratch test, and it came back negative! Thanks to that test result, I have been able to cut out 4 prescriptions from my regimen. That's HUGE! Hummie knows how much medication that I take, and can appreciate me having 4 less to take. So, the asthma remains, but the issue is that my nose is hyper-sensitive. Which is why the smell of most flowers and perfumes bothers me. So, my new diagnosis is non-allergic rhinitis. I have a nasal spray that I use 3 times a day to help with the sensitivities. I won't know for another week or two if it is working. I can tell you that it puts a metallic taste in my mouth, but if it solves the issue of my nose being so sensitive, then it is a small price to pay. Only time will tell.

Anne-Marie, whenever you share a new template on your blog, feel free to link it up in the comments here.

I found this nice template today, so if you download, please comment and tell her Hummie sent you!

Hello! Had a Dr appt this morning, and eliminated another prescription. I could get used to this! Ha! Let;s get it down to NO prescriptions! :)

I have to go to the library today to return a movie I borrowed, then I have a friend coming over to help me with some housework that I can't do with my foot in a surgical boot. So thankful for my friends!

I am hoping to get some scrapping done today, too. I have a lot of irons in the fire right now, but I need to do something for me, too! :)

We hired an electrician at least a month ago. He said he would call back to schedule the appointment. We gave up on him. Then he calls yesterday and shows up out of the blue today.

Do these contractors for repairs at home not need anyone's business? It's so hard to get any of them to give an estimate, and if they show up to look, the don't provide the estimate later, and if you hire them, they don't show up.

Is supply and demand that huge that they don't need basic business sense?

Oh Hummie, been thinking the same myself and i'm the other side of the globe. We were getting aircon quotes and hubby rang about 5-7 (second round of quotes as only 1 written quote from round 1) and most weren't even interested in coming out though the couple of quotes we got late last year were in the thousands of $. Finally looks like my aircon will be installed sometime in the next few weeks - yippee!
Hummie B said…
Bastet, I don't know what an aircon is! I'm guess an air conditioner and, yes, those are expensive and stressful.

I started my day trying to think on some new content. Actually, I started yesterday morning and I was trying to think of a quick video for The Fun Extras, but nothing came to me.

I thought on a template.

But decided to progress some more on the photography class instead. Will do a new template soon too I hope (although the one I did a few weeks ago only 4 people did it, so I think that's what is hindering me).

I started cruising my photos picking out ones that apply for the next photography tutorial. That last one I did I noted has a high view count, so there must be some interest, although I'm not sure anyone is currently doing the class.
Tammy said…
Looking forward to whatever you have planned, Hummie!! I need to go back and redo most of the photography class. All my edits/layouts got lost and I didn't save them on my computer.
Hummie B said…
Tammy, whatever was in the forum will be moving to the guides. I'll see what is there soon and review it for you.

Good to see you on the forum this morning.

I've missed you doing challenges here. I think you've been busy at home.
Hummie B said…
Okay Tammy, I see what you mean. There are a lot of lessons that no one person had posted and done the lesson! No wonder I quit doing new ones. Your earlier ones appear to be in the the threads so far.

It's so sad for me as the earlier lessons have over 30 replies. Must shake that off! Obviously complete strangers on Youtube are appreciating the lessons.

Hugs, Hummie!

Hummie and Bastet, We have been having the same problems. (Same side of the world as you Bastet), Have not been able to get builders that will actually turn up and if they do they don't quote so as you have any idea what you are getting for your money. FINALLY found a plumber, still need an electrician, don't get me started on trades, I could go on forever. The only people who came and quoted on time and efficiently were the kitchen builders and the flooring blokes. Rang three of each, three of each came and I got three quotes for each. Need someone who can cut a hole in a brick wall and put a window in.. ah no.. cant find anybody.
Jody Taylor said…
Oh .. and I still have the aircon on my list (Yes Hummie thats Air conditioning). I guess I will tear my hair with that one soon.

Sorry Hummie, very Australian to shorten everything. I remember a tour in Egypt and the American and Canadian tourists in the group found the way my friend and I spoke, very difficult to follow as we shorten everything. Sunglasses = sunnies, bathing/swim suits or costumes are cozzie, mosquitoes = mozzies, and so it goes on.
Jody Taylor said…
Bastet, maybe we are lazy LOL. ???
Hummie B said…
Oh my! I don't think I would get some of those shorties if I didn't askie! :)

Today I'm dealing with intellectual copyright. Seems the world has no respect anymore.

I also recorded a video for the next photography lesson (I still want to finish that class, even if no one is doing it). I don't like having things left undone.

Have you seen the new BETA Camera roll on Flickr?

What do you think?
AMarie T said…
Beta version isn't available for French users for the moment. Maybe later.
Bastet said…
If I use Australian (Ozzie or Aussie) language, ask away though I'll try to remember to put it in full as well.

When I get through the chores I'll go check BETA Camera Roll.

Had a great night out on the Brisbane River and took some photos on my phone of Brisbane at night. Hope to get a LO with the good ones. They had some entertainment on board showing dances from various islander communities (NZ Maori's, Samoa) it was really very good. I would recommend the Kookaburra River Queen cruise if any of you visit Brissie (Brisbane) Australia.
Dawn said…
I saw camera roll, but have not looked at it yet.
I just got home from babysitting. I wasn't sure if I would make it home, because we are now under a level 2 snow emergency. Blowing and drifting snow everywhere, and wind chills well below zero. YUCK!!
Hummie B said…
I don't know what a level 2 is, but I know you've had a lot worse weather than us this season, Dawn. Hang in there.

We are headed for our first significant snow later today and overnight and into Monday. Forecasters are all hesitant. It's funny watching them. No one will commit saying the models are all over the place.

I've seen anywhere from 4 inches to 12 - 14 inches. So they say these things and then say "we don't really know." lol No one wants to be wrong!

ooops! It's Sunday! Off to make a new post for this week!
