Happy Monday!

A new linky for April starts today, although it is still March, but it is close enough. I'm anxious to see that first link!

My sis died from cancer yesterday afternoon. I'm very thankful I got to see her one last time the day before. She was at home surrounded by her husband, all 8 of her children, and our Mom. I will miss her terribly. I am so thankful she is now pain free and at home in heaven with Jesus!!!

Thank you, AMarie!! They are so appreciated. :)

Oh Tammy! I'm so sorry! I was wondering if you were able to go see her and I am very glad for that for you.

When is the funeral? Do you get to go to that?

My Mom told me yesterday that Uncle Bob's hospice nurse anticipated he would pass away yesterday, but I have heard nothing since then. That would have been such a coincidence if both our loved ones that we were praying for each other about would have passed on the same day. I continue to wait for word, however.

Progress update:

109 Resource threads
229 Class threads
TOTAL 338

closer and ever closer

I've hit where most all threads have at least 20 images in them, so feeling blessed for all those who did the challenges, but slowed down by the amount of work per thread.

Maybe I can finish getting everything out of the forum by the end of this week. I think thereafter, I'm going to set aside only 1 morning a week to uploading them to the guides, and one day for genealogy, and the rest toward just scrapping or new content.

Tammy, I am so sorry about your Sister. I hope that you're able to attend the services.

Hummie, Keeping your uncle in prayer also.

I feel bad about not being on here as much as I'd like to, but there has been so much going on in my life these past few weeks. I've been non stop, coming home to just go to bed and start again early the next morning, and so the cycle continues.

I have an electician coming tomorrow to replace three lighting fixtures in my apartment. I'm hoping for much better lighting in here once that is done. I'm going to take pics of them with my cell phone tonight, then take pics with the new fixtures tomorrow and compare them.

I am not the proud owner of a 2006 model iMac. It's pretty cool, although it is a much older model. I'm really liking the mac system in general. I got this for $50, which is a downright steal! The local high school is upgrading their computer lab, and so my home and office PC's are getting replaced with the iMacs. I'll still have my PC, as I will use that as my media server, and I will use my laptop for scrapping, but everyday document writing, internet browsing, etc will be done on the mac.

I saw your lighting tweets, Dawn. What a great improvement.

I hope you find time to scrap soon and I'm glad you got an iMac to play with. As we always say, it's fun to play.

For me today, it's working on my weight and small group tonight, and whatever else I can fit in.

I got my hair cut last night. It's been three months. I stretch it out as long as I can to save money. I'm not sure my hair guy was doing well. He didn't get it as matching on both sides as before.

Thanks for putting up with me reporting this. As I've said many times before, it cannot be done fast enough. I couldn't even work this morning and it was frustrating waiting for threads to open up.

Progress report (not as if anyone is following this but me! lol)

101 resource threads
135 class threads
TOTAL 236

I'm so happy to say that the class suggestion threads are all done! Those were time consuming! They are all up on the guide pages. I was beginning to think I would not get through them all. Only about 1/3 went to the guides though.

Now I can focus on the resource threads better now that those suggestion ones are done.

Also, I am so excited that Course 2 is all downloaded. That being the "heart of HW" had a LOT of layouts. I dreaded each one!

How is your day? I'd love to hear from you. It's a three day weekend coming up!

What are you going to do for Easter?

I'm so weary of doing this.
Also, I majorly hurt my index finger on my right hand and I'm tired and just feel overall grumpy.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Can't seem to concentrate on things for any length of time.

Hummie? Did your uncle go home yet?

Thanks everyone for your prayers and condolences! They really do mean a lot.

We're having Easter dinner here at my house on Sunday.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

Thanks for asking, Tammy. Still no change for my Uncle. My heart is breaking for my Aunt and three cousins as they celebrate Easter with him in the home in a coma. It has to be difficult. My cousins do have a lot of young children.

Yesterday we shopped a lot looking for two things for the patio, a table and a shelf.

The shelf is something we wanted to be unique, but be special dimensions for the small place we have to put it. We thought we might have to hand make something. We need it as a serving center for drinks and food for guests.

I am so excited that we found the shelf! It is just the right size and it is made out of fence post shaped wood.

No fortune on the table though, but we will keep searching.

Today we are off to paint at our son's house again. In the afternoon we are helping with the church fun day for Easter for the children.

I have to figure out what to make for Easter yet too (I have a list) and shop for some food.

Minutes after I typed that, my Mom texted. My Uncle Bob passed away at 3:30 this morning.

Hugs, Hummie!! So sorry for your loss. :'(

My Uncle Bob went Home this morning at 3:30 a.m. He is my Mom's only brother/sibling. I could write about what a wonderful father and wife he was to my cousins and aunt, how he loved with quiet, gentle warmth in his ways, his being a Cardinals baseball fan, how intelligent and full of ambition he lived his life, how he was a fighter for 30 years through Parkinson's Disease, but really I'm just writing that I'm sad. God sure has done a lot of calling in recent months for Keith and I. First our newborn granddaughter in November, then Aunt Norma in January, Aunt Nancy in February, Uncle Jerry in March, and now Uncle Bob in April. We really just want to scream "enough!"

So sorry for your loss, Hummie. Continued prayers for you and your family.

I'm still dealing with the creeping crud. A little better than yesterday, but the real question lies in whether I can sing tomorrow. Hopefully.
