July 20 . . . a Monday

Early this morning, I'm not sure what time it was, Miss Tizzy did her dive bomb into my neck and head thing, wrapping her head around my head, and woke me up.  It was so sweet, but it did startle me.  I did not know she was scared of storms, but apparently the storm outside was really scaring her and she ran to me for comfort.  I looked at the radar on my phone and listened to the storm for a while as I drifted off to sleep.  I woke hours later and she was still cuddling my face, with me stretching to find a breathing spot.  I just adore her cuddles though.

Today is hubby's birthday, but it is back to work Monday.

My weight  is 15.8 to go, same as Friday, so I am happy I didn't do too much damage.  The freak two pounds lower yesterday was a fluke and I knew it had to be.  I'm motivated to get going on the Fitbit competition and even ran in place a lot before I left for work.  I was about 2,500 before I left which is a huge start.  Apparently, even else in my Fitbit competition is motivated too and we are reaching high numbers early in the day.  I'm really wanting to hit a 10,000 day today.  Melissa always hits it and I cannot compete with her, but I would really love to give her a "run for her money" for just one day.

I scrapped two layouts before I left for work!  I woke at 5 a.m., so I've had very little sleep.  I'm not sure how long I will last this evening to try to get steps in.

Today I feel very motivated to get 10,000 steps.  Melissa is always at 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day and I cannot compete with her and I really want to give her a "run for her money" for one day.  I've focused on movement all day and here at noon I've got 6,655 steps after running in place during lunchtime.  Wow!  I think that's first time ever to break my daily goal by lunch time.

This is how it looked at lunch time on the race.  Wow, I feel like Deb is doing it!  So impressed with her.  There have been many days she is barely to 5,000 and she's over 7,000 at lunch time.

I had missed my dental appointment at the end of May and was frustrated with myself that day.  My teeth feel horrible and I am very thankful for my dental appointment today.

Um, yeah, photographers do weird things like take pictures of their legs when they are bored waiting for them to read the x-rays.  I've got the most amazing dental office.  After so many bad ones years ago when the boys were in the teens, I've been so thankful for this whole office staff.

After work the rain was pushing in and the yard was horrible so hubby mowed (yes, on his birthday) and I trimmed in the yard dead flowers and cutting back old greenery and cutting back new growth on bushes.  I sweated for an entire hour and more!  I mean not just sweat, but it was rolling off my face.  Hubby too as I watched him using his shirt time and time again.  This is good 'ol Missouri humidity.  It didn't help my steps much though because I was mainly standing in one spot trimming.  I think I got 1,000 more and was setting around 8,000 steps.

Around 7 p.m. it was time for the (for pay) cleaning job.  I am still on my feet.  Whew.

Then we made supper.  I cut some loaf bread up into tiny slices and made some amazing BLT sandwiches.  Hubby even exclaimed that I needed to take a photo of them because they looked so amazing. They tasted amazing too.  Hubby had leftover biscuits and gravy.  So I stood and walked while cooking, then actually sat down for about 20 minutes to eat.  I've been on my feet way more than normal today.

Then the storms came rolling in.  We kept running outside to watch the amazing sky as it turned colors and the alerts of tornadoes came through.  According to the news, they were all around us, just to the north and few miles and then to the south a few miles.  I kept running in place the whole time no matter where I was, even outside on the carport where my neighbors probably thought I looked nuts.

By 8:23 I was at 14,302 (according to text I sent Sam).  I just could not stop there as I needed to get to 15,000 mark, so I forced myself to get back up.  I found that once a body is in motion, it stays in motion.  With the Aleve I had taken earlier in the day, I had less pain too.  I don't know what it was, but I just kept running and running and running.  I was going after 15,000 and before I knew it, I had 17,000!

I stopped for a bit and then kept taking to hubby and saying, but 20,000 is only 3,000 away.  Can I do it?  And before I knew it I was back up and running in place with another Aleve inside me.  Hubby was so sweet and got up and ran in place next to me to encourage me.  I don't think I ever would have done it without him being silly and entertaining next to me.  I had my Christian Youtube playlist running and sometimes would close my eyes and just listen to the words.

At 9;12 I hit 20,000 steps.  Whew!  I had been going all night and all day and it is hard for me to believe there is only 82 active minutes.  I know it was way more than that.  This 20,000 is a first for me and a personal accomplishment.

I hit the bed and the dogs gave me a "facial" while hubby cleaned my feet and rubbed lotion on them.  It's his birthday and I'm getting the treatment!

Hubby called his twin to wish each other birthday wishes while I rested.  Here's what the competition looked like at 9:38.  Somehow, Melissa got over 9,000 instantly.  I never understand how she can get so many so quickly.  (and by 6:30 a.m. she had over 12,000 ... always seems suspicious to me!)

We watched one episode of Big Brother and went to bed at 11 p.m.  At midnight I was up with acid reflux.  It was bad.  I mean really bad.  I was up instantly throwing up and it burned so bad.  I don't remember the last time I had an episode like this where it woke me from my sleep and I hit the porcelain until my stomach was completely empty.  Then I had to sit up, as always, and wait for it to setting back down.  It sure did hurt.

Am I going to be suffering tomorrow?
