October 13 . . . a Tuesday

I could not get going before work.  I actually overslept twice and then panicked that I was late for work.  Why am I so tired lately?  It must be a sign that I am overworked, over-stressed, or still not recovered from the head cold.

Since the gal I am tutoring tonight is coming to my kitchen, and she is wanting to start up a sewing business, and my table cloth is so ugly dirty and a bad sew, I rushed during my lunch hour to sew up a new tablecloth.

I thought it looked nice and needed to iron it after work yet.

I played with a phone app and made a little ditty.

At 5 p.m. she called to check if we were still on and said she would see me in a few minutes.  Yikes!  Was she going to be early!  I had a half hour to get home and get ready for her, or less.

I rushed home and got out the iron only to be disappointed when I squirted water on the tablecloth and started to iron and the cloth discolored and smelled horrible.  It seemed the whole tablecloth was ruined!  I ended up having to take it off and have a blank wood table for my guest.  I don't remember the last time it was a non-covered table.  I didn't like the way it looked, but I was stuck with it.

Hubby put the tablecloth in the wash.  I'm hoping it is just from the material not being washed before I sewed with it because I don't think it was on the iron and I know the iron was not down long enough to burn.

Hubby had the leftover roast and potatoes in the oven, as I had suggested to him by text, so we rushed to eat it and he was cleaning up when she came in.

We had a great tutoring session together, but her laptop was so messed up I had to get it working before we could do much and then she did not bring a mouse and the mousepad kept going back multiple pages and we had to keep re-finding our way, so I felt we did not get very far, but she seemed happy for what she paid for. We cannot get too far in setting up her business because she hasn't even made any dog clothes yet.  So she doesn't have any products or even a business name yet.
I am excited that she might make something for Tizzy as a test product and that we can have a mutual relationship of helping each other.
