Thanks Tammy for starting this post for me! I feel loved! So thoughtful for you since I've been failing while sick and overwhelmed with other things. I've always thought to myself that I should try to hold up other people where they fail instead of knocking them down for failing and now I feel as if someone did that for me!

You are welcome.

So how is everyone's October starting out??? Still sunny and blue skies here. :) Loving it!!!

It's a bit cool here. We had to close up the windows last night. I'm sure it will get warm for that "Indian Summer" again.

Oh, interesting tidbit. They found at our local State Park some human bones last night and have determined it to be native American from the time when the Trail of Tears came through (Trail of Tears State Park).

I feel a little better today and hope it holds. If so, this cold was a short lived one as it started around midnight Wednesday.

I am teaching so much and hubby being home in the evenings does not help me either to get stuff done. I've been trying to catch up with my personal blogging (under ramblings tab).

I made a freebie this morning.

I am wondering if I guess we should skip the DigiHop this month and I should focus on next month's palette.

Also, I have probably another two weeks of teaching and then that I hope will let up. I keep getting requests for tutoring though. I'm thankful for extra money. I need to get my class outline ready for Monday and that will take my time.

I'm working on advent devotionals for my church this week which kept me away from the blog. I only have so much time in a day and have to pick and choose.

I want to keep writing and do a whole month of devotionals for this blog during advent. Maybe I said that before.

Am I babbling?
Tammy said…
Babble on. Babbling is good. :D
Hummie B said…
That made me smile. lol
At least I'm present again, huh?
Now where is everyone else?
Tammy said…
Yay!!! I finally redid all the photography lessons that got lost in the move and that I couldn't find on my hard drive. Fun stuff!!
Hummie B said…
Yeah you! Thanks for participating!

I thought I was getting better on Friday, but yesterday I felt zapped! I had to rest today.
Hummie B said…
Can't wait for today to be over. I still haven't finished my course outline for tonight. I've got to work all day, teach all night, then find time to clean. Tomorrow cannot come fast enough, especially since I'm still sick and pushing myself which I'm sure is not good for getting rid of this cold.
Hummie B said…
Hello self. Yes, it is good to be thankful for a Tuesday and a feeling of less to-do pressures. Give yourself time to rest so you can finish overcoming this head cold. Thanks for talking to me, self.

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all doing well. Tammy, thanks for starting Octobers chatter post. That was sweet of you to do. :)

Hummie, wow-- busy lady! Hope things will slow down for you, but praying also that the slowing down will not affect your income.

Well... I have a new neice!!! Grace Ann was born on Sunday afternoon. She is a beauty!!! I got to hold Evan on my lap while he (meaning me) held and kissed his baby sister for the first time! Melted my heart!!

I'm at the office the next two days, so maybe I can scrap a layout with Gracie this weekend. I sure hop so!!!
Tammy said…
Congratulations on the new niece, Dawn.

Hope you're feeling better, Hummie.

Hope everyone else is having a good October so far!
Hummie B said…
Glad to see you on the blog, Dawn. Maybe you can scrap again soon.

Hi Tammy!

I caught up on commenting on layouts on the linky this morning and saving them for the html pages some day.

I made a DBJ last night. Whooo hooo! Stayed up late to do it though.
Dawn said…
I'm not sure if I can get to it before Friday, but I'll try! I'm trying to find time to even see little Gracie and Evan this week.
Hummie B said…
Yeah, same here, but this weekend looks like a great one for me so I have a little light at the end of the tunnel. Feeling better, but still coughing as it's not all cleared.

Calendared yet another tutoring job last night. Thankful for answered prayers for finances.

Got a communication from some old friends getting together in a few weeks and torn on what to do . . choices.
Hummie B said…
I'm playing. Changed it to a dynamic view. Seems I always have to have change in my world to appreciate newness. Anyone else like that?

Get together with friends for sure Hummie. It revitalises the soul

Thanks for the vote!

I see I did not list my choice. I really wanted to go to the Archfest50 ... 50 years since arch and my Grandpa was there and took the video. My friends are coming down from St. Louis to a park here and I had plans on going up there! There will only be one 50 year celebration. I'm a little confused why they didn't throw out dates like they did before. I feel like a fifth wheel being told when after they discussed amongst themselves. But I really want to see them too. We used to do a weekend overnight once a year.

Happy Saturday!!!!

Watching my grandson for part of the day today.
Maggie Adair said…
Changed mine too Hummie - resisted it for long enough LOL!
Maggie Adair said…
Better than cleaning house which is what we did :D
Hummie B said…
Happy Monday! I hope you had a good day with your grandson, Tammy. Maggie, I cleaned some house too this past weekend. I need time to do that more.

Tonight is my last structured class to teach. Then my cleaning job.
tomorrow night I have a tutoring session. I'm not sure if I'll get more tutoring scheduled or not, but personally I'm ready for a break from teaching. It's wearing me out to have so many jobs, plus still getting over this sickness. Feeling better, but still coughing up phlegm which tells me my body is not fully healed which is why I'm so tired all the time.

I cannot get motivated this morning again. So I'm making myself do so class guides adding photos to make myself feel productive.
Tammy said…
You're busy, Hummie! Hope your icky stuff goes away for good!!

Went to church, took a hike, had a surprise birthday party for my man yesterday. Need to clean house today. :) And homeschool.
Hummie B said…
Sounds like a great day for you, Tammy.
So are you working on any class lessons here?

I'm just glad that Course 2 is finally under 1,000 images to add! It seems like a light at the end of the tunnel! And then again, still overwhelming.

My EHD seems to have died. I cannot catch a break.
Life seems quiet on the blog. Gonna try to catch up on any layouts on the linky today.
Tammy said…
I think I've finished all the ones I was doing. :)
Tammy said…
Bummer on the EHD, Hummie. :(

Happy Boss's Day to all the bosses. Can I include myself? My boys think I boss them around. ;)
Hummie B said…
Hello Friday! Hello all! I'm ready for the weekend.

Yep, boss's day and both my boss's are gone.

I've been really stressing and sad the last few days.
Maggie Adair said…
Happy weekend everyone!!! Sorry I've been quiet. We've just moved house, so we've had all the craziness that comes with moving - & I had a 2-day work assignment. Anyway, it's now the weekend so YAY!
Maggie Adair said…
I don't like that you've been stressed & sad Hummie. I will be praying for you
Tammy said…
Keep my 6-yr. old grandson in your prayers. He broke his arm yesterday morning. I spent all day yesterday at the hospital with him and my son and daughter-in-love. It required manipulation surgery and four pins. He broke it just above his elbow on his left arm. He was sleeping when I left last night. If things went well overnight, he'll be discharged today. Please pray for quick healing and that he'll do well with being incapacitated.
Maggie Adair said…
well done to both of you. You're doing a great job & it's all appreciated
Maggie Adair said…
Ouch! Poor baby. Praying for your grandson Tammy. Hope he's right handed. My son broke his right arm when he was 4 and used to get so mad having to use his left hand
Hummie B said…
Oh goodness Tammy, just now reading this. Poor young man with a broken arm. That many pins sounds serious. It will be hard on such a young one not to be active so as to no damage it more.

Maggie, glad your move is done, but I'm sure the putting things away will be months to come. I can only imagine.
Hummie B said…
Thanks Maggie

Hardly anyone comments on the chatter anymore. Sort of like the forum became.
I am wondering if I just need to set up an html page with the linky and everyone can just chatter on whatever I post.

I've been posting about my daily self for quite a while now and it seems silly for me to repeat it here. But no on reads those posts either.

But if I got better and created one early in the morning and edited it throughout the day. (this catching up stuff is no fun!)
Hummie B said…
Hellloooooooooooooooo out there!
Grin
Happy Friday all!
Hummie B said…
So, I talk to myself and sometimes Tammy and sometimes a straggler, so I decided to move the linky to the homepage of the site. Just click on "class guides" to get to the homepage of the site.

We can chatter on whatever post is the current one. I'll keep creating daily posts and we can chat on them and I won't have to repeat myself on what I'm doing.
Tammy said…
Sounds good, Hummie. :) Got a surprise birthday party for my Mom happening today. I'm a tad frazzled...
Hummie B said…
Oh my! Do come back and let me know how it went. I haven't done surprises very well.

I did start a post for today with what I've been up to, so I'm always appreciative of how you adapt when I make changes around here.
Maggie Adair said…
I know I'm hardly here, but I am here ;)
