Dec 20 . . . a Sunday
I'm lov'n my $1.50 teacup! I love how the shape feels in my hand and the indentation at the bottom for my pinky finger. I want one now that is not Christmasy. lol I put my tea in the morning by my laptop as I work.
This is the pad we got hubby at the mall last night so he would have one to go under his drink just like I have. I enjoy mind so much.
Before church I was so anxious to see what the paint colors looked like that I opened the can and brushed a big swatch on the wall in our bedroom. I wasn't so sure about the color.
I brushed a swatch in the guest bedroom too. It looked great there and I had more hope! I guess with the white underneath it, it looks better.
It looks okay next to the framed material which is what is the setting for the entire room decoration that we are going after.
I want the wall to match the new linen duvet cover and I think it's working, but I'm not sure.
We went to our nephew's church for worship as they had the children's Christmas program during service. It was so great to watch our great-nieces. The older great-niece had a lot of speaking parts for a main role and she memorized them all! I was so impressed.
I spied a decoration at the church that I just had to play with in taking a photo. Thought it was pretty.
I have never used fresco cheese. I've seen it in the stores, but never knew what to do with it. I had it crumbled on the sweet corn from the food truck several months ago, so I had bought some to play with. I finally found time today. I mixed some seasoning and crumled it with my fingers. How fun is that! I love how the seasoning sticks to the cheese to help spread it about whatever you are applying it to.
We made thin pizza's and they were very good. I'm going to have to search for some recipes for this cheese now!
We painted after lunch and started around 2 p.m. We worked until about 8 p.m. Whew! We almost finished the guest bedroom. The closet doors need a second coat yet. That was a lot of work and we were exhausted! Our little pizza was long gone.
You can see we really have no gifts under the tree. When we bought the pad (above photo) for hubby, the same lady had a dog toy for fifty cents! We're going to give it to the girls on Christmas Day. There's also a Pepperidge Farm box under the tree that one of the students gave to hubby and I thought that was super sweet.
