LAYOUT OF THE WEEK ~ JANUARY 15, 2016
Presenting Hummie's World Layout of the Week
by Glyn Cumerford
I honestly think that one of the reasons I'm always late posting these is because there are TOO MANY to choose from. Not just too many uploads, but too many amazing uploads. I can find something I like in "this one" or a new technique in "that one" or someone who's obviously followed a recently posted tutorial really well or whatever it is that strikes me. What struck me this weekend was the COLD! hehehe..... Seriously. We made the news in Lakeville, MN for being the coldest spot in MN Sunday morning! -17! (felt like -30 with wind chill) REALLY?!? What struck me about this layout was the warmth. The photo is just amazing, so tranquil and calm. The background paper is perfect. The embellishments are the same colors as the photo so as not to distract from it's peacefulness, but the word art (and you know how I love word art) suggests nothing of the kind! Change is often the hardest thing we have to face, but change is inevitable. And, as the quote says, Life doesn't better by chance. Reminds me of the quote, "A ship is safe in the harbor. But that's not what ships are built for. ~William G.T. Shedd"
Congrats Glyn Cumerford!
