Friendships Grow

Friendship comes, and friendship goes,
but our friendship continues to grow.

Through all the laughter, and all the tears,
I'm glad we've been so close,
through all the years.

A friend like you is hard to find.
I am thankful to have a friend so kind.

Sigh. I feel like such a bad friend. I'm spending time this morning while at work to read your blog to catch up, and this post really convicted me. Not just on our friendship, but other friendships in my life that I have not had time for. Well, I can't really say that. There are times when I am at home and I think about friends I haven't been in touch with. I should act on the reminder and send an email, text, or even make a phone call, but more often than not I fail to do so.
You and I have been friends for at LEAST 8 years (my memory is failing me right now). We've been through a lot of ups and downs together, and I've even come to your home several times. Friendship is a two way street, and I am sorry I have failed you. I will try to do better.

I repost things all the time, like this one that was first posted long ago, and am amazed how God works through them in the circumstances of my day.

We are all so busy it seems and forget to take the time out for friends, then seem to complain when we feel we have no friends! Ah! I do that.
